Profile
Mayumi Bono is an Assistant Professor at National Institute of Informatics (NII) and The Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI) in Japan. She is also a researcher for Basic Research Programs PRESTO funded by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) from 2009 to 2013. Her research project focuses on observing Japanese Sign Language in conversation. She received her M.A and Ph.D from Kobe University, Japan. Her research interests include the analysis of face-to-face conversation, human multimodal interaction, Japanese sign language, and the design of human-computer interaction.
