Takashi Egawa

I received my Master of Science in Pharmacy from Fukuoka University at Fukuoka in 1990. After that, I obtained my PhD from Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Fukuoka University. When I was working in Yame General Hospital, I won the Best presentation Award at 34th Japan Municipal Hospital Association in 1995 and the Best paper Award at Kyusyu Yamaguchi Pharmacy Conference in 1998. I am now a Professor in Fukuoka University. I also belong to National Disaster Relief Team which is Japan Medical Team for Disaster Relief (JMTDR). In 2015, the 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal with the epicenter in Lamjung District, located about 80 km northwest of Kathmandu, on April 25. The JICA dispatched the medical team, almost type 2, to Nepal in response to a request from the government after an earthquake on April 27. I have experience in relief activities as JDR pharmacist with the Nepal earthquake. Then, I assisted to sort out and organize medicines donated by various partners.
