Dr. Omar Abdul-Rahman received the B.Sc. and the M.Sc. from the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq in 2004 and 2006 respectively. He worked for several years as engineer in Dokan Hydropower Station, Kurdstan region, Iraq. By 2009, he had been nominated by Japanese government scholarship (MEXT) to pursue his PH.D. study in Japan. In 2013, he received PH.D. degree in Information Technology from Hokkadio University and attended Professor Kento Aida Lab, Information Systems Architecture Science Research Division, Center for Grid Research and Development, National Institute of informatics (NII), Tokyo, Japan, as a project researcher. Currently, Dr. Omar is an Assistant Professor at the same lab. He is doing research in cloud computing related area. Moreover, his current research interests include genetic algorithms, evolutionary computation and multiobjective optimization.
