I have isolated pre-harvest sprouting resistance genes, based on genetic analysis. It will contribute to prevent reduction of grain quality of rice . I also focusing on the functional analysis of pre-harvest sprouting resistance mechanisms, I have been established mutant library of rice, especially on rice cultivar, 'Koshihikari'. In my opinion, the mutant library derived from 13,000 lines, may achieved saturation mutagenesis. This resource have been used for generating a new alleles of rice genes for functional analysis and breeding material production.
