How to understand the complex connections between law and technology in our contemporary societies represents a significant academic challenge. Typically, legal scholars and Law School teachers approach law and technology matters through the use of compartmentalised subject areas, from the traditional intellectual property topics to biotechnology law or cyberlaw. Over the past few years, however, the development of new synergies between scholarship in socio-legal studies (SLS) and science and technology studies (STS) have challenged such narrow categorisation and sought to explore the interactions between law and technology from a broader perspective. Focusing on education, this short presentation interweaves my own professional experience with analysis of how these emergent approaches to the LSTS nexus may provide a vantage point for teaching Law in multi- or interdisciplinary frameworks.
