Profile

Born in Tokyo. Home River is the Tama River. Grandfather was a caterer of see food dishes in the fish marcket, Father was a maniac fisherman and Mother was a collector of wild edible plants, and thus, it was quite natural for me to enjoy nature in mountains, rivers and the sea coast from childhood. Although my ambition was to be a plant taxonomist in the primary school, it changed to an animal ecologist in the high school days being active in the biology club with Mr. Mutsunori Tokeshi. After that I have been engaging in ecological reseraches on aquatic animals particularly on mayflies. Present Hobby is rocky shore fishing in the Pacific Sea Coast.
