My research interests lie in health sciences, medical sociology, and quantitative and qualitative research, with a particular interest in the health and well-being of community populations which are receiving both medical and ling-term care.My currently conducting researches are on individual values and behavioral norms using qualitative research methods, on disaster prevention in elderly care facilities using epidemiological research methods, and on the cognitive restructuring of caregivers of patients. with swallowing difficulties at home.Now, I teaches gerontology, qualitative research methodology, and public health crisis management to MPH/PhD candidates at the Graduate School of Public Health, University of Shizuoka.
