Low temperature resistivity of highly conductive iodine-doped polyacetylene changes systematically from metallic to nonmetallic with increase of disorder. The negative magnetoresistance in metallic region is ascribed to the effect of weak localization. Meanwhile the positive magnetoresistance found in nonmetallic region is explained by magnetic field effect to variable range hopping among localized states in a quasi 1D electron gas.
