My research interests include the social inclusion of children and families in Japan and the Philippines, with a particular interest in the role of civil society, including Kodomo Shokudo and community-based food initiatives for children, in supporting vulnerable families. I also engage in international education, encouraging students to connect global development issues with challenges in their own communities.
