RESEARCH LEADERSHIP (12 PROJECTS)
Holistic Touch: A joint project between Fukuoka Prefecture Health Promotion Centre (Japan) and Khon Kaen University (Thailand) to measure stressing factors in human saliva pre-and-post mediation in end-of-life care.
Community Narratives: The study of middle-aged Japanese women returning to higher education to train as therapists, and their education journeys shared through work in an end-of-life clinic.
Holistic Touch Therapy in End of Life Care: A joint research program with scholars from Khon Kaen University and Fukuoka Prefectural University to produce a health promotion program in holistic touch for community members to volunteer as therapists in Buddhist hospice care. The three-year project includes training/training protocol and extensive community outreach.
Working with Solar Energy: A series of health promotion workshops aimed at teaching community members Fukuoka how to build solar panels. The purpose is to provide greater access to solar energy, thereby enhancing individual’s quality of life through electricity to generate heat, expand cooking options, etc.
