My research field is English literature and English education. I research works of utopian writers such as Thomas More, Jonathan Swift, Aldous Huxley, and so on. I analyze utopian works from postcolonial and ecological viewpoints seeking a form of utopia in the 21st century. I also study theoretical background of CEFR to reform EFL curriculum of Japanese universities. My seminar students study a variety of topics related with the UK and its language.
