A robust extra-large microporous coordination polymer with a Kagome type structure was synthesized by carboxylate/amine multifunctional ligand with a Cu(2+) cluster and the hexagonal 1D channels (similar to 15 angstrom) showed type I and IV adsorption isotherms for gas molecules.
