清水 章弘

Akihiro Shimizu was born in Yamanashi, Japan in 1982. He graduated from Osaka University in 2005 under the supervision of Professor Kazuhiro Nakasuji. He received his Ph.D. from Osaka University in 2009 under the supervision of Professor Takashi Kubo. He spent three months with Professor Benoit Champagne at Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (FUNDP), Belgium, as a visiting researcher in 2007. He joined Professor Yoshito Tobe's group at the Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University, as an Assistant Professor in 2010, Professor Jun-ichi Yoshida's group at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, as an Assistant Professor in 2011, and Professor Ryo Shintani's group at the Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University, as an Associate Professor in 2017. In 2026, he was appointed Professor at the College of Science and Engineering, Aoyama Gakuin University. He was awarded the Young Scholar Lectures of The Chemical Society of Japan in 2017, the Young Researcher Award of The Electrochemical Society of Japan (Sano Award) in 2018, the Incentive Award in Synthetic Organic Chemistry in 2023, and the Nozoe Memorial Award for Young Organic Chemists of The Society of Physical Organic Chemistry, Japan, in 2023.
