Prof. Takeuchi received an MD degree from Nagoya City University and received MPH and PhD degrees from the University of Tokyo. His professional career started as pediatrician, followed by academic physician and researcher.
His research interest is epidemiology—such as clinical epidemiology or pharmacoepidemiology—utilizing large healthcare databases (often referred to as “big data”). He is also interested in longitudinal data analysis, causal inference, machine learning, and the combined use of these methods.
