We investigate phase transitions in an extended periodic Anderson model including Hund's coupling as well as the density Coulomb interactions. By combining dynamical mean-field theory with the numerical renormalization group, we address the low temperature properties of the system. It is shown that two phase transitions occur among the Kondo insulating, the metallic and the Mott insulating states. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
