Standlee Philip

I am an English Lecturer at Kanda University of Foreign Studies 「神田外語大学」. I have been teaching English as a second and first language since 1998 when I took a tutoring job as at a small private school in New Mexico. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English and in Journalism and Mass Communications from New Mexico State University in 2002. Then, in 2004, I joined the JET Programme and worked as an ALT at a small high school in Gifu-ken, Japan for three years. Then I returned to the U.S. and earned my MA TESOL degree at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. I worked four years designing language assessments for state governments through McGraw-Hill Education before returning to teach English at Kanda University in March of 2016.
