Hiroyuki Sasaki is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management at the University of Yamanashi, Japan. He received his Ph.D. in Commerce from Waseda University in 2019. Prior to his current academic position, he gained industry experience as a management consultant and later served as an Assistant Professor at Waseda University. His research, grounded in the behavioral theory of the firm and behavioral strategy, explores the behavioral determinants, cognitive frames, and biases that shape corporate strategic behavior and how firms pursue multiple, potentially conflicting, goals. His work aims to provide deeper insights into strategic decision-making under bounded rationality, organizational constraints, and ambiguous strategic contexts, thereby contributing to a richer understanding of organizational adaptation, growth, and performance.
