In this paper, we summarize the current trend and future direction of energy conversion education in Japan with focusing on technology education in junior high school. In addition, we make an observation report of the class of energy conversion in X junior high school in Kyoto Japan, and discuss the educational effects of energy conversion education based on the students works and the behavior observation. As the result of students works and the behavior observations through the class, we concluded that energy conversion education is quite effective for enhancing student interest, basic knowledge and skills related to energy conversion technology in general.
