Profile

I am currently a Professor of Economics at the Faculty/Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University. My fields of research are macroeconomics, public finance, and computational economics. I am especially interested in analyses of tax and social security reform policies by using incomplete-market heterogeneous-agent dynamic general-equilibrium overlapping-generations (OLG) models. Before coming to Kyoto University, I was a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics, Lancaster University Management School; a Principal Analyst at the Fiscal Policy Studies Unit, Macroeconomic Analysis Division, U.S. Congressional Budget Office; and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Risk Management and Insurance, J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. I received a Ph.D. Degree in Economics from the Department of Economics, University of Pennsylvania; and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, Keio University.
