Selective reduction of NOx by C3H6 over Pd-NiO/(Y0.99Ba0.31)(2)O-3 under oxygen excess conditions

A Pd-NiO/Y(Ba)(2)O-3 developed catalyst shows high activity to selective NOx reduction into N-2 (yield 70%) with C3H6 under oxygen excess conditions. Y(Ba)(2)O-3 support material is active to NO direct decomposition at high temperatures and is considered to selectively adsorb NO. By depositing NiO and Pd simultaneously, high NO selective reduction activity is exhibited around 200 degrees C and the activity is hardly affected by the addition of water in the feed stream.
