1. シロアリの体表炭化水素の同巣認識物質としての役割に関する研究<br> 山口に同所的に分布するカンモンシロアリとヤマトシロアリの形態比較と体表炭化水素組成とを比較した。ヤマトシロアリにおいて異コロニーと同コロニー由来の個体を接触させそれらの行動観察を行い、同時に体表炭化水素分析を行った。<br>2. 種多様性からみたシロアリの生態系における役割に関する研究<br> マレーシアボルネオにおいて、シロアリの種多様性とfunctional group構成を調べることにより、標高差、乾燥度の違いがシロアリの多様性に与える影響を調べた。また、樹冠及び地表におけるシロアリの物質循環とコウグンシロアリ行動観察
