Education in medicine must include not only the study of individual organs, but also of the person as a whole. Similarly, effective communicative language instruction must also consider not only the language structure nor the learner in isolation, but also the entire group of learners as a whole interactive community. This belief has led me to conduct interdisciplinary research which combines the fields of business management, communication, and cultural anthropology to develop an effective model for language instructional approach.
