I am a Lecturer at the College of Economics and Public Management, National Economics University (NEU) and an adjunct researcher the Waseda Institute for Advanced Study (WIAS), Waseda University. Prior to joining NEU, I was an Assistant Professor at WIAS, the Keio Global Research Institute (KGRI) and a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Economics, Keio University. I earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS).
My research interests lie at the intersection of health economics and development economics, with a particular focus on issues related to health, education, and aging and retirement. My current work investigates the intergenerational effects of (i) female genital cutting laws, and (ii) natural resource booms and weather extremes on health and development outcomes.
