Temperature programmed desorption measurements of oxygen molecules in 2D materials using laser terahertz emission microscopy

© 2016 IEEE. In this work, we demonstrate the use of laser THz emission microscopy (LTEM) in evaluating the binding energy of locally adsorbed O2 molecules on 2D materials. The THz waveform can be correlated with the local O2 adsorbate concentration as a function of temperature, allowing the use of LTEM for temperature programmed desorption measurements.
