I have conducted research on solving various problems related to geotechnical engineering and environmental geotechnics in soft ground such as Saga plain.
I am active in cooperating with the field of science such as Quaternary, Geochemistry, etc. In addition, I am aiming to foster a bird's-eye view of awareness from science to engineering, for the ground characteristics from the past background to the near future, without contradiction and gap of knowledge between those fields. Furthermore, my target is to establish a novel research style and a formation of base to discover new findings.
Finally, with a motto of "Contributing to the community and society through research and technology that is world-class!", I am recently specializing in the following subjects as:
(1) Depositional environment of the foundation
(2) Site investigation
(3) Physico-chemical properties of the clayey soil
(4) Soil structure of the clayey soil
(5) Geotechnical properties of the clayey soil
(6) Chemical solidification and stabilizing method of the foundation
(7) Database of foundation information
(8) Submarine foundation of the Ariake Sea
