In Japan, promotion of pro-environmental behavior (PEB) in household is one of the main challenges for energy saving. There are very few studies on the promotion of PEB dealing with the continuity. Purposes of this study are to propose a method for promotion of continuous PEB using online community, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the method. In this paper, after the overview of the conventional approach for promotion of PEB and the concept referring to the previous study, a new method to promote continuous PEB will be proposed, which is characterized by fosterage of strong community by the analogy of club activities. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the method, experiment procedures will be introduced. © Springer 2012.
