チェリー ジョナサン

Jonathan Cherry is an asssociate professor in the Faculty of International Communication at Musashino Gakuin University, Saitama, Japan. Jonathan first came to Asia in 1997 where he enrolled at the Xi'an Foreign Language Institute, Shaanxi, China. It was here where his interest in Chinese language and culture started. He returned to the UK to pursue his education, studying Chinese and Management Studies, receiving an Honours degree from the University of Durham. He returned to China as an English teacher, teaching in Shanghai. In 2006, he moved to Tokyo, Japan, where he continues to work now. He is able to converse confidently in both Mandarin Chinese and Japanese.

His research is centered around student depression, anxiety, and stress as well as self-esteem levels. Other research includes the wellbeing of international students and how well they adapt to the countries they are studying in.
