Integrating MEMS and micro devices has a great potential to realize new haptic interfaces, which exchange multi physical data between persons and machines. The authors have developed two types of new haptic interface devices; an active mouse and an active tripod. They realize physical interaction systems between persons and virtual objects in computers or tele-operated robots. This report shows their designs, control systems, and performances.
