Telecare using multimedia on communication lines is quite a new technology which will be one of the important care methods in 21 century. Many experimental systems have been tried around the world and the potentiality of the advancements in Japan is ahead of them. However, to go to the final goal, telecare should still break through some problems, one of which is the education how to use the multimedia effectively. Remote education was done to the students of Hokkaido Technical School of Care and Welfare in Kuriyama Town. The project team includes Tokyo Medical and Dental University group as practiced telecare professionals, Fujituu Limited group for system design and development, Hokkaido Technical School of Care and Welfare group and the stuffs of Kuriyama Town Office. It is shown that remote education of telecare is more effective than any other remote education, when the students can see actual telecare and practice it simultaneously using teleconference system.
