Elastin peptide from bonito bulbus has beneficial effects for vascular functions due to the protective effects for endothelial injuries. We will do some more resarch to elucidate the mechanisms of such beneficial effects of elastin peptide, such as elastin receptor, signal transduction and so on, using cultured endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells.
