大阪大学大学院工学研究科通信工学専攻博士後期課程修了．平成11年に広島市立大学に助手として 着任し，平成17年に同大学助教授，平成19年に同大学大学院准教授，平成28年に同大学大学院教授 となり，現在に至る．専門分野は無線通信と電波サイエンスなど．最近では電波によるヒト検知システム の開発や放送波の電波伝搬の調査，自然環境モニタリングネットワークの研究に従事．博士（工学）．
