＊新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の拡大により学会中止 https://www.adolescentsociality.com/updates/ehbea2020 (Organizers: Emily Emmott & Masahito Morita) We invite researchers interested in adolescence to join us for a one-day symposium on “evolutionary approaches to adolescence.” Across disciplines, adolescence is increasingly recognised as a key life stage, with distinct and interesting characteristics. What has evolutionary-informed research contributed so far, and what are our opportunities? The broad aims of the day are to share existing research around the topic of adolescence, network with other researchers with similar interests, and collectively identify future research directions with the greatest utility for our field. Through invited research talks and guided participant discussions, we hope to facilitate a productive atmosphere for knowledge exchange and future collaboration.

These two projects share many topics, such as life history evolution, cultural transmission, social network, communication, cognitive development, and (allo)parental investment, including general evolutionary and ecological foundations of humans. This symposium provides an opportunity to explore ideas, to build research networks, and to advance more integrated approaches. We will welcome 7 speakers (including 5 researchers based in the UK) whose talks cover several aspects of the adolescent sociality and language evolution. http://www.esj.ne.jp/meeting/abst/64/W20.html （企画者：田村光平・森田理仁 ／ 発表者・登壇順：森田理仁・田村光平・中川朋美・藤岡悠一郎・蔦谷匠） 生物種としての人間は、「ヒト」と表記される。生態学、特に進化・行動生態学は、ヒト以外の生物における研究で積み上げられた知見をもとに、ヒトの生物学的基盤の探求の一翼を担ってきた。しかし今後、ヒトの生態をより深く理解するためには、複雑な文化や高次の認知能力、ヒトに固有の行動や心理といった、ヒトの特異性に重点を置く他分野との相互作用が重要になると考えられる。 諸分野との相互交流を通して、生態学の理論の汎用性の検証に加えて、環境科学や健康科学への応用などといった点でも、豊穣な成果が産み出されると期待される。当日は、進化・行動生態学に加え、異なるバックグラウンドをもつ研究者が集い、最新の成果や知見を紹介しながら議論を展開する。ヒトと他の動物との普遍性と差異、環境との相互作用の多様性の理解を通じて、ヒトの生態学を深化させるきっかけとしたい。

https://www.ethology.jp/meet33/program2.pdf （主催者：森田理仁・長谷川眞理子 ／ 発表者・登壇順：森田理仁・長谷川眞理子・大槻久・長谷川寿一） ヒトの行動の中には，一見すると適応度の最大化の理論ではうまく説明できないように思われるものも多く含まれる．そのため，行動生態学の枠組みをヒトに適用する研究は挑戦的で興味深い．しかしながら，日本ではhuman behavioral ecologyの研究はあまり盛んとは言えず，それを知り，議論する機会も少ないのが現状である．本ラウンドテーブルでは，最初にヒトの行動に対するさまざまな進化生物学的アプローチを概説した後，少子化，児童虐待，更年期症状，自殺といった非適応的に見える現象について，社会科学におけるアプローチとの違いに触れつつ，行動生態学の理論を用いた研究成果を紹介する．そして，最後には会場からの指摘や批判を取り入れながら，行動生態学や動物行動学一般のなかでヒトの行動の進化に関する研究の質を高め，魅力的な学問分野とするためには何が必要かについても議論したい．動物行動学会参加者の大多数を占める，ヒト以外の動物を研究対象とされている方々にも楽しんでいただけるような企画を目指している．
