Small punch testing was applied to evaluate the mechanical properties of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu and Al-Mg aluminum alloy, and the effect of hydrogen was discussed. Small punch testing was performed to the test pieces of the three types of aluminum alloy with different hydrogen content. Load-displacement curve of each test pieces were obtained and fractured test pieces were observed. There are significant difference in the load-displacement curves of different aluminum alloy, but the effect of hydrogen was not observed clearly.
