Working from a sociocultural perspective on additional language learning, my interests include: feedback, peer-to-peer collaboration, and usage of technological devices in interactions. My recent research analyses peers collaboratively processing feedback on jointly produced texts through the lens of Activity Theory. I am currently investigating the experiences of Japanese university students as they participate in an international virtual exchange (IVE) with American college students.
