The dc conductivity of the one-dimensional t-J model is obtained exactly for arbitrary electron fillings in the integrable case of t = J. The effective transport mass derived from the conductivity is shown to be enhanced near half filling due to the metal-insulator transition. It is demonstrated that the large antiferromagnetic coupling J has a tendency to increase the transport mass.
