Oct, 2011 - Oct, 2011本研究では,安全・安心・安価で,高エネルギー密度を有する新しい蓄電池デバイスとして,現状では発展途上の研究開発領域である二価イオンをキャリアとする二次電池「マグネシウム電池」の基礎研究および開発を行う.本研究では,放電時の主反応として (正極) MgM_2O_4 + Mg^{2+} + 2e --> Mg_2M_2O_4 (M = Co, Ni, Fe,Mnなど) (負極) xMg → xMg2+ + 2xe なる全く新たな電極反応(スピネル-ロックソルト転移)を利用した革新的蓄電池「マグネシウム電池」のための正極材料開発を初めに行い高エネルギー密度化を図り,安全で大型な蓄電池の開発を目指す.
