This paper proposes a new force sensing approach based on the singular spectrum analysis and the dither periodic component elimination Kalman filter to realize a wideband sensorless force control system. The dither periodic component elimination Kalman filter and the disturbance observer are integrated to configure the force sensation with the cancelation of dither signal component and noise in the force information. Moreover, the singular spectrum analysis based velocity estimation, which is the input information of the force sensation, is constructed to improve the force sensing performance and realize the wideband force control system when the pole of the disturbance observer is greatly increased. The proposed method achieves considerably widened force sensing bandwidth. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experimental results.
