I am a clinician/scientist specializing hearing and balance disorders (otoneurology). I am in charge of patient care at the hearing aid clinic and balance clinic at the Dept.Otolaryngology, Okayama University Hospital. My clinical research is focused on the central auditory processing of the older people in clinics. My interest in basic science is gene transcriptome analyses in the mice cochleae with acute sensorineural hearing loss and age related hearing loss, with special emphasis on innate immunity processes in sensorineural hearing loss.
