I am currently working as a professor at the Department of Creative Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tsuruoka College.
Before joining here, I was working for Orange Japan Co. Ltd. at Orange Labs, Tokyo. Orange is one of the largest telecom operators in the world. With headquarters located in France, Orange probably houses the biggest R&D team among telecom operators (around 5,000 people). Orange offers consumer services to 35 countries in the world. But is present in 220 countries and territories through business services.

My projects include E-Health, M2M, Services for the seniors, Smart City/Smart Agriculture and services for the emerging countries.
I also conduct research on network protocols and performance improvements as a "hobby" together with some of my former colleagues/students.

In addition, I am an honorary visiting researcher at Waseda University where I supervise students' research and conduct lectures at times.
I am serving as program committee member of different conferences and also guest editor of journal special issues.

I am a Senior Member of the IEEE.
