I am an English linguist and lecturer from Zurich, Switzerland. I completed my PhD in sociolinguistics in 2016, at the University of Zurich. During my PhD studies at the University of Zurich, I taught several undergraduate courses in sociolinguistics, the introductory BA course to English linguistics, and a lecture on basics in (contact) linguistics. In addition, I taught Academic Writing to students of international business management at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and have worked as a copy-editor for the international journal English World-Wide. In 2018, I spent a total of six months in Sapporo to learn Japanese and am now working as an Assistant Professor at the Writing Centre of Hiroshima University.
