I am particularly interested in economic reform and negotiations. The computer model I developed in my PhD was designed to estimate the likelihood of Japanese postal reform being implemented but it can easily be tasked to other negotiations.
The vitality of the Japanese economy is a concern for me, and my primary research interests are looking at issues (such as pension reform) that have been cited as needing attention.

When time permits, I enjoy listening to music and photography.
