My research is focused on laser-generated ion sources for Inertial Confinement Fusion studies and High Energy Density Physics applications.
I conducted my Ph.D. at University of Milano and University of California San Diego, focused on Fast Ignition and ion acceleration research. From my post-doctoral studies I worked at the Institute of Laser Engineering where i focused my attention on the development of a plasma mirror device for LFEX laser and subsequently focused my attention on ion acceleration by LFEX laser and induced plasma heating by ions.
