Othman Almazyad is a Junior Associate Professor at Tokai University in Japan

He obtained his bachelor's degree from the School of Politics and Economics, Department of Business Administration; a sub-major in Japanese language education for foreigners; and a second sub-major in design sciences. He received the dean's award, the "Ideal Student Award" from Tokai University, Japan, in 2013. He holds a master's degree in policy-making and social innovation from Keio University. He was awarded the prestigious Kato Award for the best scientific thesis for graduate students from KEIO in 2015. He joined the Japan Petroleum Cooperation Center as a research fellow and then became regional manager for the Middle East and North Africa. His research interest is in Family businesses, Social innovation and centuries-old firms (traditional firms) in Saudi and Japan. He has also served as an advisor at the Japanese Petroleum Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI).

Furthermore, he has contributed to the interpretation of several official meetings at the leadership level, such as his participation in the translation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He has translated for His Excellency the Prime Minister of Japan, Mr Shinzo Abe and several ministers, leaders, and diplomatic figures.
