I received my PhD from Kyoto University in Japan in 2019 on functional bio-based materials. My research focuses on the development of novel wood-derived and wood-based nanomaterials, with a particular emphasis on the chemical-free fabrication of hydrophilic-nanocellulose/hydrophobic-polymer nanocomposites. Currently, I am working as a Postdoc at Kyoto University with a research focus on the development of optically functional wood. My particular interest/goal is to develop industrially-viable processing technologies for the practical application of nanocellulose-based materials in the automotive and aviation industries.
