I am interested in the formation of the academic research system in modern Japan, and in particular, academic research funding.

How was the current research environment created, and where is it headed? What is the true promotion of academic research, and how is it to be done? I would like to unravel these questions historically (vertical axis) and relative to the world (horizontal axis). This will also lead to the significance of humanities and social sciences research today.

At the same time, I have been involved in various planning and management activities and research support for all fields at universities and research funding organizations. Recently, based on the idea that diversity is a source of creativity, I have been promoting a diversity research environment through industry-academia-government collaboration.

I will continue to pursue research promotion from both theoretical and practical perspectives to produce the academic infrastructure of the present and future.
