Phosphor crystals used as sensors for fluorescence thermometer application have been grown and evaluated based on temperature dependence of fluorescence intensity. Peak intensity ratio of photoluminescence from Cr doped YAG, Spinel and other phosphor crystals are discussed based on thermal excitation energies of emission.
