Understanding of athletes' psychological traits which vary depending on sports and consideration on method of mental training suitable for each athlete are required in order to provide mental support to them. Therefore, this study conducted surveys using three questionnaires (Tokyo University Egogram New Ver. II, Diagnostic Inventory of Psychological-Competitive Ability for Athletes, and Sukemune-Hiew Resilience Test) on male university long-distance runners and sprinters.
