There are a lot of Community Spaces(CS) generated in the disaster area by the East Japan great earthquake disaster. It has passed about 4years and some social situations have changed. Under these circumstances, they are thinking about the new role and the way of management. And an aging rate is more than 30% in the area, and it is needed for elderly to do effective health promotion. Then this study aims to consider the meanings of the health promotion for elderly by the local activity of ‘Rikucafe’ in Rikuzentakata-city. This study indicates the meanings as follows;1) The suggestion of the new model of CS in the disaster area,2) The suggestion of the possibility about health promotion by the total approach(meal ,exercise and public participation) in CS,3) The suggestion of the possibility of the sustainable management way for CS.
