He has been working on bridging Academia's cutting-edge research results to industry from 2016 to March 2025. After three years at the University of Tokyo, he spent the next six years at Hokkaido University. From April 2025, he has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the newly established Insititute for Frontier Education and research on Semiconductors at Hokkaido University, where he is promoting the development of semiconductor research in Hokkaido.
