I am interested in flow control, aeroacoustics, and computational fluid dynamics. Especially, my objective is to establish design guide for lowering environmental load of fluid-related machinery and transport system. Simulations using high-performance computers are performed along corresponding experiments. I completed my Ph.D by research of cavity tone in The University of Tokyo in 2010. I studied control of aerodynamic noise as a visiting academic in University of Southampton (2015-2016). I was appointed professor at the department of mechanical engineering in Toyohashi University of Technology in 2023.

- Aeroacoustics such as cavity tone and fan noise.

- Active control of flow and aerodynamic noise by plasma actuators.

- Utilization of noise power and waste heat based on thermoacoustic phenomena

- Separation, recovery and utilization of carbon dioxide

- Development of direct aeroacoustic simulations around musical instruments.
